Professional Development Committee (VP: Sila Keha - skeha3@gatech.edu):
Professional Development Officer: Professional Development Officers are responsible for assisting in the organization of the Spring and Fall IISE Career Fairs and Information Sessions (10-20 each year) that IISE hosts. You will also work closely with companies to ensure all IISE professional events are beneficial experiences for both the companies and students attending. There are 2 main concentrations within the Professional Development Committee:
1) Career Fair: Officers are responsible for carrying out the planning and execution and day of the Fall and Spring Career Fairs which see 500+ students and 30+ companies attend. Officers will help with company outreach, day-of logistics, and assisting recruiters and students as they come for the career fairs.
2) Information Sessions: Officers are responsible for coordinating with company recruiters to carry-out the Information Session. Officers will also host Information Sessions along with the Director of Information Sessions; these typically occur Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-6 or 6:30-8.
Internal/External Affairs Committee (VP: Aron Cheng - acheng89@gatech.edu):
Internal/External Affairs Officers: Internal/External Affairs Officers are responsible for either creating marketing materials for different IISE events or planning initiatives to help enrich ISyE student experiences. Officers also organize different internal Executive Board initiatives such as board-bonding and merchandise. There are 2 main concentrations within the Internal/External Affairs committee:
1) Marketing: Officers are responsible for keeping the IISE Social Media/Communication channels updated and designing and creating marketing materials for different IISE events. Officers will also keep the IISE website updated on a weekly basis with our upcoming events. It is highly encouraged to have had experience or interest in design or web development for this position.
2) Student Programs: Officers are responsible for organizing the different initiatives IISE has to enrich student experiences. This includes planning programs like our Mentorship Program, annual Case Competition with CYC at Georgia Tech, and other philanthropic activities. Officers are encouraged to come up with novel ways for IISE to expand its impact on the ISyE student body.
Student Development Committee (VP: Nano Suresettakul - nsuresettakul3@gatech.edu)
Student Development Officer: Student Development Officers are responsible for a wide range of student-oriented initiatives meant to help ISyE students develop new skills and make new connections at Tech. There are two main concentrations within the Student Development Committee:
1) Social Events: Officers are responsible for planning and executing social and fundraising events. Our biggest social events include the Spring picnic, Atlanta Hawk's night, and Atwood's pizza night. You're also encouraged to come up with new ideas throughout the semester!
2) Workshops: Officers are responsible for organizing IISE's workshops hosted throughout the year, including our standard Excel, Power BI, Project Management, and Course Planning workshops. Officers will also be in charge of planning the Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt courses IISE offers.
