Six Sigma Workshop

Six Sigma is a disciplined, data-driven approach and methodology for eliminating defects (driving toward six standard deviations between the mean and the nearest specification limit) in any process – from manufacturing to transactional and from product to service. At Six Sigma Green Belt, you will be equipped to support and champion Six Sigma implementations in any organization.This introductory course will give you a thorough understanding of Six Sigma and how to eliminate defects through fundamental process knowledge. You'll be able to quantify the critical issues in a company and then apply statistics to provide probabilities of success and failure.

Lean Workshop

November 3rd - 4th @ ISyE Main 228

Lean manufacturing or lean production, often simply "lean", is a systematic method for waste minimization within a manufacturing system without sacrificing productivity. Lean also takes into account waste created through overburden and waste created through unevenness in work loads.As a Lean Green Belt, you will be equipped to map process flow and identify activities that add value from a customer's perspective. For today's industrial engineer, lean training is MANDATORY for success.
