Scrum Master Certification
Scrum Master Certified (SMC®) professionals have a practical, working knowledge of Scrum that equips them to implement and work in a Scrum environment. SMC® professionals are facilitators who ensure that the Scrum Team is provided with an environment conducive to completing the project successfully. The Scrum Master guides, facilitates, and teaches Scrum practices to everyone involved in the project; clears impediments for the team; and, ensures that Scrum processes are being followed. This livestream course ends with an exam that provides successful candidates with a Scrum Master Certification (SMC®).

IISE Spring Picnic
IISE will be holding our annual Spring Picnic on April 4th from 11am-3pm at the Instructional Center Lawn. Be ready for an amazing time as well as catered Cheeba Hut (vegetarian option available) and sweet treats!
Food will be provided to the first 100 RSVPs, and a variety of activities including cornhole, spike ball, and more will be open to all! We will also be hosting a Pie A Professor event, where you will have the opportunity to pie one of your favorite ISyE professors (for a $2 donation to the Inspiredu charity)!
There will be a $5 fee to attend, which will cover all these events and food. Prices will be rising, and entrance will be $7 on the day of the event. So, make sure to RSVP as soon as possible!

IISE Spring 2024 Career Fair
IISE(ISyE) is hosting its Spring Career Fair on Monday, February 19th from 9 AM - 3 PM at the Georgia Tech Exhibition Hall Ballrooms! OPEN TO ALL MAJORS!
We have companies from industries including consulting, supply chain, aerospace, gaming, healthcare, software, and finance! Some big names that will be joining us at this fair include Johnson & Johnson, Manhattan Associates, and more!

In addition, the first hour of the Career Fair (9 AM - 10 AM) will be open exclusively to IISE members! Members will be able to arrive early, skip long lines at the fair, and engage in one-on-one chats with all recruiters without a time constraint. Companies will be having two lunches from 11:30 - 12:15 and 12:15 - 1. This means that only half the companies will be recruiting from 11:30-12:15 and 12:15-1 PM. This way, the career fair will never have to shut down to give recruiters a break, and there will always be recruiters to talk to! The largest companies will be split between the two lunches, and be taking breaks at different times. More information regarding the lunch breaks will be sent to students before and will be noted at the fair.

Lean & Six Sigma Registration Deadline
IISE is offering several options for Lean & Six Sigma Green Belt certifications this semester! All courses will be online and asynchronous. No prerequisite knowledge is required, and all majors are welcome.

For each course, students will be required to pass an exam to receive the certification. The exams are timed, open-book, open-note, and you will have two attempts to pass. All certifications are valid for three years but can be renewed for $25 by emailing cs@iise.org.
Students have historically performed very well on these exams, regardless of whether they were administered in-person or online. From Spring 2021 - Spring 2022, the overall pass rate across all universities was 91% for the IISE Lean Green Belt Exam and 94% for the IISE Six Sigma Green Belt Exam, with even higher pass rates among GT students.
Registration is open now! The last day to sign up is October 5, 2023 at 11:59 PM. You will receive access to course materials right after you sign up, and you will have six months (for individual Lean & Six Sigma courses) or one year (for combined Lean Six Sigma course) from your registration date to complete the course. Most students will take 21-24 total hours to complete the individual Lean & Six Sigma courses or 80 total hours for the combined Lean Six Sigma course, but each student can work at their own pace.

IISE Operational Analytics Registration Deadline
"This semester, IISE will be offering an online asynchronous course on Operational Analytics! No prerequisite knowledge is required, and all majors are welcome.
This course covers topics like visualizations, dashboards, measurement systems, data management, data analysis, data science, process improvement, and analytics software/tools. The course is approximately 100-140 hours total, with plenty of practice exercises. The course curriculum is a blended model that includes video recordings developed specifically for this course from leaders and subject matter experts in the field from Intel, IBM, Ford, Moresteam, The Poirier Group and others. You’ll also have access to outstanding case examples and the opportunity to interact with course specialists.

Students will be required to complete and present an analytics project to receive the certification. However, there is no exam.
